Junior Payroll Officer

Responsible for assisting with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, maintaining accurate employee salary records, and supporting payroll-related HR and finance activities. Key Responsibilities • Assist in preparing and processing monthly payroll for employees and site workers. • Collect and verify attendance, timesheets, overtime, leave, and absence records. • Verify salary deductions, allowances, advances, and other payroll adjustments. • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and supporting documents. • Coordinate with HR, site administrators, and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies. • Assist with preparation of salary transfer files and payroll reports. • Support payroll-related documentation, employee queries, and salary certificates. • Maintain confidentiality of employee salary and personal information. • Assist with payroll reconciliation and month-end payroll activities. • Ensure payroll records are properly maintained and submitted within deadlines. • Perform other payroll and HR-related duties assigned by management. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field. • 1–3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a construction or contracting company. • Good knowledge of MS Excel and payroll systems. • Basic knowledge of UAE payroll practices and WPS is preferred. • Strong numerical and analytical skills. • Good attention to detail and accuracy. • Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
