Stores Logistics Officer

Role & responsibilities • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes. • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory registers. • Ensure proper storage, identification, labelling, and preservation of materials. • Issue materials to departments against approved material requisitions. • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment. • Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation. • Maintain minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels. • Ensure proper handling and storage of steel, plates, sections, consumables, tools, and equipment. • Monitor material movement, inward and outward transactions. • Maintain GRN, MRN, issue slips, and stock transfer records. • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Projects, and Accounts departments. • Follow up on pending deliveries and shortages with Procurement. • Identify and report damaged, excess, obsolete, and slow-moving materials. • Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable. • Maintain proper housekeeping and safe storage practices. • Ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE requirements, and audit standards. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports. • Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits. • Control material wastage, pilferage, and unauthorized issues. • Monitor tools and equipment issued to employees and ensure timely returns. • Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and storage facilities.
