Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Quantity Surveying Engineer** with a strong background in **civil/building construction** to join our team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take\-offs, BOQ preparation, estimation, cost control, valuations, variations, and commercial documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities * Prepare accurate **quantity take\-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans**. * Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications. * Conduct **site measurements** and verify completed quantities. * Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. * Monitor project costs, budgets, material quantities, and wastage. * Prepare **interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims**. * Evaluate variations, change orders, additional works, and site instructions. * Assist with tender preparation, procurement, subcontract administration, and commercial evaluations. * Monitor project expenditure and identify potential cost overruns. * Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and commercial documentation. * Assist in **final accounts, claims, and contract administration**. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement Teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. * Maintain accurate records of measurements, costs, variations, contracts, and project documentation. Requirements \& Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in **Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management**, or a related field. * **3–7 years of relevant experience** in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry. * Strong experience in **civil/building construction projects**. * Good knowledge of BOQs, quantity take\-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * Knowledge of construction materials, labour rates, and subcontractor pricing. * Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures; **FIDIC knowledge is an advantage**. * Proficiency in **MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS/estimation software**. * Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, communication, and problem\-solving skills. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.** * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiners are highly preferred.** Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in **villa, residential, commercial, high\-rise, fit\-out, or general building construction projects** will be highly considered.
