Site Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Site Quantity Surveyor Engineer** with a strong background in construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for site measurements, quantity take\-offs, BOQ preparation, cost control, valuations, variations, subcontractor evaluation, and commercial documentation. Key Responsibilities * Conduct **site measurements** and verify completed quantities. * Prepare accurate **quantity take\-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates**. * Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications. * Monitor project quantities, material usage, wastage, and costs. * Prepare **interim payment applications, valuations, and progress claims**. * Evaluate variations, additional works, change orders, and site instructions. * Review subcontractor measurements, quotations, and payment applications. * Assist with tendering, procurement, and commercial evaluations. * Monitor project costs against approved budgets. * Prepare cost reports, quantity reports, and other commercial documentation. * Assist in preparing **final accounts and claims**. * Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. * Maintain proper records of measurements, variations, contracts, and project costs. These responsibilities reflect common requirements in current Bahrain construction QS roles, including site measurement, BOQs, valuations, variations, cost control, and subcontractor payment evaluation. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management**, or a related field. * **3–5 years of relevant experience** as a Quantity Surveyor / QS Engineer in construction. * Strong experience in **civil/building construction projects**. * Good knowledge of BOQs, quantity take\-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * Proficiency in **MS Excel and AutoCAD**; knowledge of QS/estimation software is an advantage. * Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and communication skills. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.** * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner is highly preferred.** * Candidates with transferable/cancelled visa or valid local status are preferred. Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in **villa, residential, commercial, high\-rise, fit\-out, or general building construction projects** will be highly considered.
