Quantity Surveyor – Construction

Job Summary ERA Projects is looking for an experienced **Quantity Surveyor – Construction** to join our team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take\-offs, BOQ preparation, estimation, cost control, valuations, variations, subcontractor evaluation, and commercial documentation for construction projects. Experience in **villa, residential, commercial, high\-rise, or general building construction** will be highly preferred. Key Responsibilities * Prepare accurate **quantity take\-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans**. * Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications. * Conduct **site measurements** and verify quantities of completed works. * Prepare and evaluate **interim payment applications, valuations, and progress claims**. * Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, expenditures, and material usage. * Review and evaluate **subcontractor and supplier quotations**. * Prepare comparative statements and assist with commercial evaluations. * Evaluate and price **variations, change orders, additional works, and site instructions**. * Assist with tender preparation, procurement, and contract administration. * Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify potential cost overruns. * Prepare monthly **cost reports, commercial reports, cost reconciliation, and cash\-flow forecasts**. * Assist in preparation of **final accounts and construction claims**. * Maintain accurate records of measurements, costs, contracts, variations, claims, and payments. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in **Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management**, or a related field. * **3–7 years of relevant experience** as a Quantity Surveyor/QS Engineer in construction. * Strong knowledge of **BOQ preparation, quantity take\-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts**. * Ability to read and interpret **architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings**. * Good understanding of construction materials, methods, pricing, and subcontractor rates. * Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures. * Proficiency in **MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying/estimation software**. * Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, documentation, and communication skills. * **Bahrain construction experience is a must.** * Must be **currently available in Bahrain**. * **Immediate joiner** is strongly preferred. Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in **villa projects, high\-rise buildings, residential/commercial construction, fit\-out, or general contracting** will be highly considered.
