Job Description We are looking for an experienced **Quantity Surveying Engineer** with a strong background in construction and contracting projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take\-offs, BOQ preparation, estimation, cost control, valuations, variations, subcontractor evaluations, and commercial documentation. Key Responsibilities * Prepare accurate **quantity take\-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans** for construction projects. * Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications. * Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities. * Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. * Monitor project costs, budgets, material quantities, and wastage. * Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims. * Evaluate **variations, change orders, claims, and additional works**. * Assist with tender preparation, procurement, and commercial evaluations. * Review subcontractor payment applications and supporting documentation. * Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify potential cost overruns. * Assist with contract administration and final accounts. * Prepare monthly cost and commercial reports. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement Teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. * Maintain accurate records of measurements, BOQs, contracts, variations, claims, and project costs. * Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in **Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management**, or a related field. * **3–5\+ years of relevant experience** in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry. * Strong experience in **building/civil construction projects**. * Excellent knowledge of BOQs, quantity take\-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * Good knowledge of construction materials, labor rates, subcontractor pricing, and construction methods. * Experience in tendering and subcontractor/supplier quotation evaluation. * Knowledge of construction contracts such as **FIDIC** is an advantage. * Proficiency in **MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying/estimation software**. * Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.** * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.** Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in **villa, residential, commercial, high\-rise, fit\-out, or general building construction projects** will be highly considered.
