Category Specialist

• Develop and execute category strategies, driving market share growth and maximizing profitability through data-driven decisions. • Conduct in-depth market analysis, identifying trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform category planning. • Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal pricing, terms, and service levels. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, supply chain) to develop and implement category plans and promotions. • Manage the dairy product category, including assortment planning, pricing, and promotions. • Identify new products and suppliers to expand the category portfolio. • Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices, margins, and commercial terms • Ensure product availability, freshness, quality, and effective stock management. • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand. • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or the food industry, especially chilled meat or dairy products. • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
