Specialist, Post Fixing & Loss - 6 months Contract

• Manage, negotiate, and settle payable and receivable demurrage claims within contractual deadlines. • Review charter party agreements, laytime calculations, and shipping claims. • Handle cargo damage claims and P&I claims where applicable. • Monitor vessel fixtures, post-fixture operations, and related exceptions. • Collaborate with trading, shipping, legal, finance, and contracts teams to minimize financial risks. • Maintain accurate claims databases, financial records, and demurrage reports. • Identify operational improvements to reduce demurrage costs and improve efficiency. • Support risk management, budgeting, and compliance activities. • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related field. • Minimum 6 years of experience in shipping or chartering within the energy industry. • At least 5 years of knowledge and experience relating to regional oil ports. • Strong understanding of maritime law, charter party agreements, and oil trading contracts. • Experience in crude oil, petroleum products, LNG, or barge demurrage. • Previous leadership-level experience and established industry contacts. • Strong understanding of shipping operations, commodities trading, and financial management.
