Senior Estimator - Interiors

• Lead the development of accurate and competitive bids for interior construction projects, from initial client contact through bid submission. • Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and other bid documents to meticulously quantify labor, material, and equipment needs. • Develop detailed cost breakdowns, including direct costs, indirect costs, and profit margins, ensuring profitability and market competitiveness. • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to refine scope, identify potential risks, and optimize project strategies. • Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors, fostering strong relationships to secure favorable terms and reliable service. • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including scope of work, exclusions, and value-added propositions, to present a compelling case to clients. • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges, ensuring cost control and project success. • Mentor and guide junior estimators, fostering their development and ensuring adherence to estimating best practices and company standards. • Stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and construction technologies to continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency. • Perform post-bid analysis and project close-out activities, learning from completed projects to enhance future estimating efforts. • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience specifically in interior construction estimating. • Proven expertise in estimating complex commercial, hospitality, or high-end residential interior projects. • Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, CostX, Sage Estimating). • Strong understanding of interior construction methods, materials, finishes, and building codes. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines. • Professional certifications such as CCM or AACE are highly advantageous. • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
