Job description

• Inspect electrical installation works for compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, Engineering Standards, and applicable international codes. • Review and witness Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). • Verify installation of cable trays, conduits, cable routing, cable pulling, cable terminations, cable glands, and electrical equipment. • Inspect installation of transformers, switchgears, motor control centers (MCCs), distribution boards, lighting systems, grounding and lightning protection systems. • Witness electrical testing activities, including insulation resistance (IR), continuity, earth resistance, high-potential (Hi-Pot), functional, and loop testing. • Verify calibration certificates for electrical testing and measuring equipment. • Ensure electrical materials and equipment comply with approved material submittals and project specifications. • Monitor contractor workmanship and identify non-conformities, issuing observations or Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required. • Verify implementation of corrective and preventive actions before acceptance of completed work. • Coordinate inspections with construction teams, QA/QC engineers, commissioning engineers, and ADNOC representatives. • Review as-built documentation, test reports, inspection records, and quality dossiers. • Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and punch list inspections completion activities. • Ensure all electrical activities comply with ADNOC HSE requirements and safe work practices. • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. • ADNOC Approval as a QC Electrical Inspector (advantage). • Certifications in Quality Control, ISO 9001, or relevant inspection disciplines are preferred. • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical inspection for oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial projects. • Experience working on ADNOC projects or with major EPC contractors in the UAE. • Strong background in installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in industrial facilities. Technical Knowledge • ADNOC Engineering Standards and Specifications. • IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and other applicable international electrical standards. • Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). • Electrical testing procedures and acceptance criteria. • Grounding and lightning protection systems. • Hazardous area installation requirements.
