Job description

• Attends to electrical equipment breakdowns, including LV and MV motors, LV switchboards, MCCs, plant lighting, transformers, UPS systems, VFDs, breakers, soft starters, and other electrical equipment. • Carries out planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision. • Identifies and reports equipment abnormalities and performs repairs or replacements as required, reassembles and tests equipment, and leaves the work area clean and safe. • Assesses the technical requirements of assigned jobs and selects the appropriate tools and equipment to complete the work efficiently. • Diagnoses electrical breakdowns and troubleshoots plant and equipment failures with minimal or no supervision. • Uses the SAP computerized maintenance management system to order spare parts from the warehouse and maintain accurate maintenance records. • Ensures all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and plant operational requirements. • Monitors recurring equipment breakdowns and recommends modifications to eliminate repetitive failures. • Provides technical guidance and plant equipment knowledge to newly joined electricians, craft trainees, and contractors. • Contributes to improving EHS and plant equipment performance by participating in 5S, Business Excellence, and Safety initiatives. • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Superior. • Assists other departments with equipment repair and troubleshooting activities. • Minimum Qualifications: • Diploma in a relevant field. • Completion of PEC Craft Training. Minimum Experience: • 3 years of relevant experience in a heavy industry after obtaining a Diploma, or • No experience required after successful completion of PEC Craft Training. Skills: • Good knowledge of written and spoken English. • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment. • Good IT knowledge. • Experience in equipment installation and troubleshooting. • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, manuals, and work instructions.
