Operations Engineer

The below openings is for a MNC having operations across the globe Job Purpose The Graduate Trainee Engineer will support the MIS & Operational Excellence team in improving operational performance through data analysis, reporting, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations, business analytics, KPI monitoring, and Lean improvement projects while developing technical and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities Management Information System (MIS) Collect, validate, and consolidate operational data from various departments. Work with internal softwares like ERP, AF Application, BPA tools etc. To capture production data, analyse data & present those data in MIS Capture data for Project costing, Raw material accounting, manpower accounting etc. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and dashboards. Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting systems. Support automation of reports using Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, or other reporting tools. Monitor departmental KPIs and generate performance summaries. Operational Excellence Assist in implementing Operational Excellence, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in process mapping, workflow analysis, and waste elimination projects. Support Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and root cause analysis using quality tools. Help identify productivity improvement opportunities and monitor project progress. Assist in documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze production, quality, inventory, and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Develop charts, presentations, and performance reports for management reviews. Support KPI tracking, variance analysis, and corrective action follow-up. Cross-Functional Support Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and other departments for data collection and improvement activities. Participate in audits, operational reviews, and continuous improvement meetings. Support digital transformation initiatives and process automation projects. Documentation & Compliance Maintain project documentation, improvement trackers, and action logs. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements. Assist in preparing reports for internal and external audits. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline. Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience. Preferred Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred). Basic knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence concepts. Basic understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar is an advantage). Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and business processes.
