Job description

**Job Purpose** Serve as a **Senior Production Optimization Consultant** with specialized focus on **Surface Facility Integration and Production Operations**. The role is responsible for bridging the gap between subsurface inflow performance and surface processing constraints to maximize asset uptime and throughput. The position acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for diagnosing flow assurance issues, optimizing chemical treatment programs, and de\-bottlenecking surface gathering, separation, and fluid\-treatment systems. **Key Responsibilities** * Optimize the total production system by balancing wellhead deliverability with surface processing constraints, including slug catchers, separators, gas compressors, and water\-handling systems. * Identify and eliminate surface\-facility bottlenecks to safely increase hydrocarbon throughput and reduce reservoir backpressure. * Build, maintain, and analyze integrated surface network models to simulate fluid flow, pressure drop, and thermal behavior across gathering lines and production facilities. * Provide engineering support for Management of Change (MOC), facility modifications, equipment sizing, and debottlenecking projects. * Support facilities in adapting to changing fluid conditions, including increasing water cut and gas\-to\-oil ratio. * Design, audit, and optimize chemical injection programs for: * scale inhibitors; * corrosion inhibitors; * asphaltene inhibitors; * hydrate inhibitors; * demulsifiers; * biocides. * Diagnose and mitigate complex flow assurance problems including tight emulsions, foaming, scaling, and wax deposition. * Oversee third\-party chemical vendors and establish KPIs for chemical efficiency and expenditure. * Direct laboratory fluid analyses, including PVT, water chemistry, and crude assays. * Monitor and mitigate internal corrosion and erosion risks in processing equipment and pipelines to support long\-term mechanical integrity and safety. **Minimum Academic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in **Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline**. * Master’s degree or PhD is considered an added value. **Experience Requirements** * Minimum **15 years of direct experience** in: * surface facilities; * production operations; * flow assurance; * facility engineering; * upstream oil and gas operations. **Mandatory Technical Competencies** * Advanced hands\-on expertise with industry\-standard process/network modeling tools such as: * **HYSYS** * **PIPESIM** * **GAP** * **OLGA** * Proven experience auditing chemical injection systems. * Ability to interpret water analysis and crude composition reports. * Experience conducting surface\-facility pinch\-point and bottleneck analyses. * Strong data analytics capability. * Proven use of real\-time surveillance tools to improve flow efficiency and asset uptime. **Additional Requirements** * Exceptional consulting and communication skills. * Ability to clearly communicate technical and economic findings to both field engineers and executive management.
