Job description
**Job Purpose**
Provide specialist expertise in **process simulation, facility\-capacity assessment, and production optimization**.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and maintain **process and hydraulic models** for North \& West Kuwait facilities.
* Assess oil, gas, and water\-handling capacity against **AAP forecasts**.
* Identify bottlenecks, operational constraints, and facility upgrade requirements.
* Lead optimization and debottlenecking studies.
* Evaluate water injection, disposal, and production network performance.
* Support troubleshooting and root\-cause analysis of complex process issues.
* Review project design basis, **SOR, FEED, and performance\-testing results**.
* Develop and maintain a technical simulation and facility\-capacity database.
* Mentor engineers in simulation and process\-analysis techniques.
**Minimum Academic Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in **Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering**.
* Master’s degree in **Process Engineering or a related field** is preferred.
**Experience Requirements**
* Minimum **15 years of relevant oil and gas experience**.
* Strong experience in:
* upstream production facilities;
* process simulation;
* brownfield optimization.
**Mandatory Technical Competencies**
* Process and hydraulic simulation.
* Facility\-capacity and bottleneck analysis.
* Oil, gas, and water\-handling systems.
* Production optimization and troubleshooting.
* Process safety, HAZOP, and risk assessment.
* Proficiency in recognized simulation software.
* Knowledge of applicable **KOC and international standards**.
**Preferred Professional Certifications**
* **Chartered Engineer**
* **Certified HAZOP Leader**
**Additional Requirements**
* Strong analytical and technical\-reporting capabilities.
* Ability to validate simulation results against actual field performance.
* Experience in developing technical models and databases.
* Strong communication, coaching, and knowledge\-transfer skills.
* KOC or comparable upstream operating\-company experience is preferred.
