Network & IT Support Technician (6 - 12 months Contract Role)

1. Network Operations & Maintenance • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points). • Monitor network performance, availability, and security using standard monitoring tools. • Participate in network upgrade, optimization, and expansion projects. • Perform troubleshooting for network issues related to LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories. 2. IT Support & End-User Services • Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals) and software (OS, business applications, productivity suites). • Resolve user issues related to system access, application errors, email, and connectivity. • Manage the setup, configuration, and deployment of new user workstations and equipment. • Support employee onboarding/offboarding processes, including account provisioning and access management in Active Directory / Microsoft 365. • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or vendors as required. • Maintain accurate documentation. • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or CCNA . • Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a combined IT support and network administration role. • Solid foundational knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, and basic routing/switching . • Hands-on experience with Windows and/or macOS administration and troubleshooting. • Excellent customer service orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills.
