Network Operations Technician

About the Position: Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Network Operations Technician to join our IT Operations Engineering & Support Team. The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are: • Monitor network systems for performance issues, outages, and security threats • Investigate and resolve network problems using diagnostic tools and logs • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades including patches, firmware updates, and configuration changes. • Install and configure network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points • Collaborate with network engineers and architects to optimize system performance • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours network alerts • Support end users and IT teams with network-related issues and escalations • Ensure compliance with internal security protocols and external regulatory standard About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: • Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field • 1 2 years of experience in network operations or IT infrastructure support • Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN configurations • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) • Experience with wireless systems and controllers (e.g., WLC) • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are preferred • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams • Excellent communication and documentation abilities • Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus
