MEP Project Engineer – Construction

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **MEP Project Engineer** to join our construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing MEP works for building construction projects, including high\-rise buildings, large villas, residential, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands\-on experience in **HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems**, with good knowledge of MEP construction, site coordination, testing, commissioning, and project execution. Key Responsibilities * Plan, coordinate, and manage MEP construction activities from start to completion. * Supervise the installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems. * Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents. * Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams. * Supervise and coordinate MEP subcontractors, engineers, technicians, and site workers. * Monitor manpower, materials, productivity, quality, and project progress. * Conduct regular site inspections and identify and resolve technical and coordination issues. * Review material submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and technical submissions. * Ensure MEP installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. * Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover of MEP systems. * Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management teams. * Monitor MEP schedules and ensure project milestones are achieved on time. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MEP progress reports. * Attend technical and coordination meetings and provide practical engineering solutions. * Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and applicable Bahrain construction regulations. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering**, or a related field. * **3–7 years of relevant MEP construction experience.** * Strong hands\-on experience in building construction projects. * Experience with **high\-rise buildings, large villas, residential, or commercial projects** is highly preferred. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems. * Ability to read and interpret MEP/shop drawings and technical specifications. * Experience managing MEP subcontractors and site teams. * Good knowledge of MEP installation, testing, commissioning, QA/QC, and HSE procedures. * Knowledge of **AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, and MS Office** is an advantage. * Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem\-solving skills. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.** * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner is highly preferred.** Preferred Candidate Candidates with strong Bahrain construction experience, particularly those who have managed MEP works for **high\-rise buildings and large villa projects**, will be given priority.
