Manager - DC Operations & Projects (Home Operations) Location: Dubai, UAE Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience in DC Operations and Home Operations Department: Supply Chain / Warehouse Operations Job Description We are hiring a Manager - DC Operations & Projects for the Supply Chain team of a leading retail group in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Distribution Centre (DC) / Warehouse Operations, along with hands-on experience managing operational improvement projects, such as Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation, warehouse capacity expansion and process improvement initiatives. Important: • Candidates with only IT, digital transformation or project management experience, without substantial DC Operations experience, will not be considered. • Profiles from hyper/quick-commerce and food-delivery businesses are excluded for this requirement. Key Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day distribution centre and warehouse operations, including inventory, storage, picking, packing and dispatch. • Monitor operational KPIs related to productivity, delivery performance, inventory accuracy, service quality and cost efficiency. • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. • Lead operational projects such as WMS implementation, warehouse capacity expansion and process optimisation. • Work closely with IT teams to gather business requirements, map processes , conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support system implementation. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution. • Support standardisation of warehouse processes and successful adoption of new systems across multiple locations. • Track project progress, manage risks and communicate updates and outcomes to senior management. Candidate Requirements • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in DC Operations / Warehouse Operations. • Demonstrated experience managing operational projects in addition to day-to-day warehouse operations. • Hands-on experience in WMS implementation , warehouse capacity expansion, process improvement or similar operational projects. • Experience in home furniture / home furnishing retail is highly preferred. Candidates from large-format retail or retail e-commerce may also be considered. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory. • MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management is preferred. • Exposure to WMS / ERP systems, process mapping, UAT and operational excellence initiatives. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills. • Must be willing to relocate to Dubai, UAE.
