Junior Accountant

At Al Tashkeel International LLC, an established distribution and wholesale company in Oman with over 30 years of industry experience, we're looking for an active, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing team. If you're looking for an opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow professionally, we'd love to meet you! • Day-to-Day Accounting: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payment transactions. • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Track supplier payments, customer outstanding balances, and follow up on pending transactions. • Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements, cash transactions, and accounting records. • Invoicing & Documentation: Prepare and verify sales invoices, purchase entries, credit notes, and other financial documents. • Inventory & Distribution Accounting: Coordinate with sales and inventory teams to verify stock-related transactions, purchase records, and supplier invoices. • Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial reports, expense summaries, and account statements. • VAT & Compliance Support: Assist with VAT-related documentation and accounting procedures in accordance with company policies and applicable Oman regulations. • Identify & Resolve Discrepancies: Spot errors, investigate mismatches, and proactively help maintain accurate financial records. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the accounts, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth financial processes. • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. • Experience: Preferably 6 months to 2 years of practical accounting experience. Candidates with basic hands-on accounting experience are encouraged to apply. • Accounting Knowledge: Good understanding of bookkeeping, debit and credit entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation. • Software Skills: Familiarity with MS Excel and accounting or ERP software. Experience with Tally or similar platforms is an advantage. • Attention to Detail: Ability to work accurately with numbers, identify discrepancies, and maintain organized financial records. • Proactive & Enthusiastic: Someone who takes ownership of responsibilities, shows initiative, and doesn't hesitate to learn something new. • Problem-Solving Skills: A practical thinker who can identify issues and work towards effective solutions. • Communication & Teamwork: Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with different departments. • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced distribution environment. • Integrity & Confidentiality: A responsible individual who understands the importance of accuracy, honesty, and handling sensitive financial information. • Language: Good working proficiency in English. Arabic communication skills are an added advantage.
