Accountant

• Maintain daily accounting entries, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries. • Handle accounts payable and receivable, supplier reconciliations and customer payment follow-ups. • Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain petty cash records. • Prepare sales invoices, purchase orders, credit notes and supporting documentation. • Assist with month-end closing, financial reporting and audit requirements. • Maintain records for VAT filings and coordinate with the company’s tax consultant. • Prepare cash-flow updates, outstanding-payment reports and expense summaries. • Maintain organised records of invoices, delivery notes, goods receipts and shipping documents. • Support management with procurement, vendor comparisons and routine administration • Coordinate daily activities with suppliers, customers, transporters and warehouse teams • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field. • Preferably 1–4 years of experience in accounting with operational responsibilities. • Experience in trading, building materials, industrial supplies or logistics is preferred. • Working knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books or a similar accounting/ERP system. • Good Microsoft Excel skills, including reconciliations and reporting. • Understanding of inventory accounting, shipment costing and documentation. • Strong communication, organisational and follow-up skills. • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple activities. • Oman/GCC experience and an Oman driving licence will be an added advantage. • Candidates available to join at short notice are preferred.
