About the Role
Seeking an experienced IP Consultant to lead brand protection and anti-counterfeiting initiatives across our portfolio. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience managing intellectual property enforcement, working with customs authorities, and running anti-counterfeiting programs in the UAE/GCC region.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute brand protection strategies to combat counterfeiting and grey market activity
• Manage IP enforcement actions, including coordination with Customs, Police, and such other regulatory bodies in jurisdictions applicable.
• Monitor online and offline marketplaces for counterfeit goods and unauthorized use of trademarks
• Liaise with external law firms and investigators on enforcement matters, raids, and litigation support
• Conduct trademark watch, portfolio management, and renewal tracking
• Prepare cease-and-desist correspondence and support dispute resolution processes
• Train internal teams and channel partners on IP compliance and counterfeit identification
• Report on enforcement outcomes, market trends, and emerging counterfeiting risks
• Support IP registration, licensing, and portfolio strategy as needed
• Bachelor's degree in Law
• Mater’s in IPR Law or any advanced IP-related qualification is a plus
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in IP consulting, brand protection, or anti-counterfeiting
• Strong working knowledge of UAE IP law, customs recordal processes, and enforcement mechanisms
• Experience managing external counsel, investigators, and enforcement vendors
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and written communication skills
• Fluency in English required
Preferred Attributes
• Prior experience with a brand protection agency, law firm IP practice, or in-house legal/compliance team
• Familiarity with online marketplace takedown procedures (e.g., Amazon Brand Registry, e-commerce platform reporting)
• Track record of leading or supporting successful raid actions or seizures

• Valid UAE work eligibility required
