Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations at Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and guest satisfaction in accordance with the brands' luxury hospitality standards. The role involves supervising and motivating housekeeping colleagues, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, coordinating daily assignments, monitoring operational efficiency, and ensuring exceptional guest service across both properties. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. • Assign duties and work schedules to Room Attendants and housekeeping colleagues according to occupancy and operational requirements. • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, corridors, and public areas to ensure compliance with luxury hotel standards. • Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned, inspected, and released on time according to arrival and departure schedules. • Monitor room cleanliness, presentation, maintenance issues, and replenishment of guest amenities. • Ensure VIP rooms, special requests, and guest preferences receive personalized attention. • Handle guest complaints and requestspromptly, professionally, and efficiently to maximize guest satisfaction. • Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations. • Monitor colleagues' grooming, attendance, productivity, and performance while maintaining discipline and teamwork. • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and guidance to housekeeping colleagues to improve service quality and operational performance. • Monitor linen, cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and equipment to ensure proper usage and minimize wastage. • Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment. • Follow up on maintenance defects and ensure all reported issues are communicated to the Engineering Department. • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, hygiene standards, and departmental procedures. • Prepare daily reports, room inspection checklists, staff assignments, and shift handover reports. • Ensure Lost & Found items are handled, recorded, and stored according to hotel procedures. • Support the Housekeeping Team in achieving departmental objectives and maintaining Raffles and Fairmont brand standards. What will you bring to this role? • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred. • Minimum 2 3 years of housekeeping experience in a five-star hotel. • Previous supervisory or team leader experience. • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and room inspection standards. • Understanding of luxury hotel brand standards and guest service excellence. • Knowledge of Opera PMS and housekeeping management systems. • Excellent leadership and communication skills. • Ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a multicultural team. • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Good command of written and spoken English. • Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and chemical handling procedures. • Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and commitment to guest satisfaction. • Embrace the Raffles & Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions • Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected • Create an environment where colleagues are empowered, supported and recognized
