General Accountant

• Handle daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and ensure accurate financial records. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile supplier and customer accounts. • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Prepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and supporting documents. • Handle VAT calculations, returns, and related documentation in line with UAE regulations. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring. • Support internal and external audits by providing the required financial records. • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and approval processes. • Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers, contracts, and other financial documents. • Coordinate with other departments regarding payments, expenses, and financial matters. • Perform other accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE. • Experience in a semi-government, government-related, or large corporate organization is an advantage. • Good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles. • Familiarity with IFRS and financial reporting procedures. • Experience using accounting software or ERP systems such as Tally,Dynamics etc... • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
