Customs Clearance Executive

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to handle and coordinate customs clearance activities for import and export shipments. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and verifying customs documentation, coordinating with customs authorities, shipping lines, freight forwarders, transporters, and customers, and ensuring shipments are cleared and delivered efficiently and in compliance with UAE customs regulations. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and submit customs declarations and clearance documentation for import and export shipments. • Verify commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading/Air Waybills, certificates of origin, and other required documents. • Coordinate with Dubai Customs, Dubai Trade, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, and transport companies . • Experience in free zone customs clearance procedures, including coordinating and handling customs inspections, documentation, and shipment releases. • Follow up on customs inspections, document approvals, duty payments, and shipment releases. • Ensure accurate classification of goods and supporting customs documentation. • Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to customers and internal teams. • Coordinate with transporters for the collection and delivery of cleared shipments. • Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies, customs queries, and clearance issues. • Prepare and maintain customs-related records and shipment files. • Assist with duty and customs fee calculations and ensure payments are completed on time. • Follow company procedures and applicable UAE customs and trade regulations. • Coordinate with customers to obtain missing or additional documents required for clearance. • Maintain accurate records of completed customs transactions and ensure proper filing. Requirements • Minimum 1 year of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics. • Good knowledge of UAE customs clearance procedures . • Familiarity with Dubai Trade and Dubai Customs systems . • Knowledge of import/export documentation and shipping procedures. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously. • Good knowledge of MS Office , particularly Excel and Outlook. • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. • UAE logistics/customs experience is preferred
