Job description
Key Responsibilities-
• Develop accurate structural and detailed steel designs based on project specifications and applicable standards.
• Prepare and submit design reports and coordinate with consultant/3rd party and other relevant bodies for timely design approvals.
• Review and validate structural steel designs and shop drawings prepared by Junior engineer/modeler/draftsmen and subcontractors.
• Address technical queries from workshop/site and collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to finalize structural solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile-
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering is required, a Master's degree is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in structural principles.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in structural design, specifically related to Hot rolled structures for commercial and industrial fields, indicating relevant expertise.
• Strong understanding of local KSA codes and international structural standards-American/British/European.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software Like Staad Pro, ETAB, SAP2000 and connection design software like IDEA StatiCa, HILTI, Fischer, highlighting technical skills.
• Proficiency in CAD software -AutoCAD and detailing software TEKLA and highlighting technical skills.
• Solid understanding of building codes (ASCE 7, IBC, etc.) and their application to different structure types, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret and coordinate with architectural, MEP, and equipment layout drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple project interfaces and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clear communication of technical information.
