Overview A premium private hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Staff Physician specializing in Brain Health and Cognitive Neurology to assess and manage patients experiencing memory problems, cognitive impairment, and neurological conditions affecting thinking, behavior, and daily functioning. The role involves comprehensive neurological assessment, diagnostic planning, treatment coordination, and patient and caregiver support. Clinical Responsibilities • Conduct detailed neurological and cognitive assessments. • Evaluate patients experiencing memory loss, cognitive changes, and other neurological symptoms. • Assess and manage relevant conditions, including mild cognitive impairment and dementia-related disorders, within the physician's expertise. • Review diagnostic investigations and coordinate additional testing when clinically indicated. • Develop individualized treatment and monitoring plans. • Collaborate with neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, geriatricians, rehabilitation teams, and other specialists. • Counsel patients and caregivers regarding diagnosis, disease progression, available treatments, and support services. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and coordinate follow-up care. • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, and quality-improvement initiatives. Requirements • Recognized specialist qualification in Neurology. • Appropriate clinical experience in cognitive neurology, memory disorders, or related brain-health services. • Eligibility for, or an active licence from, the relevant UAE health authority, as required. • Strong neurological assessment and diagnostic skills. • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities. • Commitment to evidence-based practice, confidentiality, and patient-centred care.
