Sheet Metal Fabricator

• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and production processes, ensuring precision in each step. • Utilize CNC machines and other fabrication tools to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. • Conduct quality control inspections at various stages of production, identifying defects and implementing corrective measures promptly. • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on design feasibility and suggest improvements for manufacturability. • Assemble and weld metal components using MIG, TIG, or other welding techniques, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards. • Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance to maximize productivity and minimize downtime during fabrication processes. • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on each task to facilitate project tracking. • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, consistently using personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment. • Train and mentor junior fabricators and apprentices, sharing expertise to foster skills development and team cohesion. • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in sheet metal fabrication to continuously improve work processes. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey technical information. • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks while adhering to safety standards. • Demonstrated commitment to quality and excellence, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. • Fluency in English; additional language skills can be an asset in diverse working environments.
