Senior Planning Engineer

Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time **Al Bany International Oman** seeking an experienced and proactive **Senior Planning Engineer** to support the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of major construction and real estate projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating document submissions, and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual milestones and project objectives. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. * Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays, risks, and critical issues requiring management intervention. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, KPIs, and management presentations. * Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely submission of design, technical, procurement, and construction deliverables. * Develop and maintain procurement tracking systems to monitor the status of materials, equipment, and long\-lead items. * Monitor contractor compliance with contractual planning and reporting requirements. * Support the timely review of technical submissions and Requests for Information (RFIs) during project execution. * Verify the timely submission of project close\-out documentation, including as\-built drawings, Operation \& Maintenance (O\&M) manuals, warranties, and spare parts documentation. * Utilize project collaboration platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, or equivalent systems for document management, progress tracking, and project coordination. * Work closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification in Planning and Scheduling Management. * Minimum **10 years of experience** in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting. * At least **6 years of experience** on major construction or real estate projects within the Middle East. * Strong understanding of project controls, critical path scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting methodologies. * Knowledge of international engineering codes, standards, and project delivery requirements. **Technical Requirements** * Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. * Experience with project collaboration and document management platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, or equivalent systems. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving skills. * Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities. * Fluency in written and spoken English. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious construction and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
