Senior Internal Auditor

Key responsibilities: • Prepare and review the Internal Audit Office’s operational plan, including completing relevant work templates, reviewing, and updating internal audit performance indicators and project completion rates, and submitting them to the line manager for review and approval. • Carry out internal audit and financial control procedures within the Department in accordance with the Internal Audit Office’s operational plan or audit requests received from the line manager. • Analyse potential financial, legal, procedural, and reputational risks facing the Department by preparing and completing risk registers and conducting business impact analyses. • Prepare accurate, clear, and comprehensive reports and other relevant forms documenting audit findings for organisational units, maintain them regularly in designated digital files, and make them available to the line manager upon request. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred for advanced analytical skills. • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are essential to demonstrate expertise in auditing standards and practices. • A minimum of 5 years of progressive internal audit experience, with a strong background in risk management and compliance. • Experience in a specific industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing) to bring relevant insights and knowledge.
