Internal Audit Director

• Audit Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based multi-year and annual internal audit plan. • Risk & Control Assessment: Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls (such as COSO frameworks, Sarbanes-Oxley, or local regulatory requirements). • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure alignment with local regulations, industry standards, and statutory bodies (e.g., FSRA or central bank guidelines in the UAE). • • Fraud Prevention: Identify and design anti-fraud criteria, controls, and investigative protocols. • Reporting & Governance: Present audit findings, risk metrics, and remediation progress directly to the Board Audit Committee and senior leadership. • External Auditor Coordination: Manage relationships and coordinate audit work with external auditors to optimize assurance coverage. • Team Leadership: Hire, train, mentor, and retain high-performing internal audit and specialized IT audit staff. • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is mandatory. • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in internal audit, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity. • Proven experience in a complex, regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare, technology) is highly preferred.
