Senior HVAC Engineer-1

Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time **Al Bany International Oman** seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Senior HVAC Engineer** to support the successful delivery of major construction and real estate projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring design compliance, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle while maintaining compliance with project requirements and international standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and approve HVAC design documents, technical submissions, and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards. * Verify that contractor design drawings and Basis of Design documents meet technical specifications and international engineering codes. * Review Concept, Schematic, and Detailed Design packages for HVAC and associated MEP systems. * Evaluate and approve material submittals, equipment specifications, supplier pre\- qualification documents, and critical shop drawings. * Respond to technical queries (RFIs) and provide timely engineering support throughout the design and construction phases. * Assess design modifications and value engineering proposals, providing technical recommendations and evaluating their impact on project objectives. * Conduct design quality audits, technical health checks, and assurance reviews to ensure robust design management processes. * Monitor contractor performance to ensure design submissions and technical documentation are delivered and reviewed within project timelines. * Support the project management team in identifying critical design and construction documents requiring mandatory review and approval. * Coordinate technical documentation using project collaboration platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, or equivalent systems. * Collaborate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient project execution. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent qualification. * Minimum at least **10 years of experience** in HVAC engineering, design, and material management for major building or infrastructure projects. * At least **8 years of experience** working on large\-scale projects within the Middle East. * Specialized knowledge and hands\-on experience in HVAC system design, coordination, and technical review. * Thorough understanding of international engineering codes and standards, including IBC, BS, and NFPA. **Technical Requirements** * Strong expertise in HVAC design, equipment selection, system coordination, and engineering documentation. * Experience reviewing technical submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and value engineering proposals. * Proficiency in project collaboration and document management platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, or equivalent systems. * Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * Fluency in written and spoken English. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious construction and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
