Senior Project Engineer-1

Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time **Al Bany International Oman** seeking an experienced **Senior Project Engineer** to provide strategic guidance and operational support for large\-scale real estate facilities and asset management activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing effective facilities management strategies, enhancing operational performance, supporting asset lifecycle management, and ensuring high standards of worker welfare and HSE compliance. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and assure all engineering and design submissions from contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable international standards. * Verify that design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation comply with project specifications and engineering codes. * Review Concept, Schematic, and Detailed Design deliverables across all engineering disciplines. * Evaluate and approve technical submittals, material approvals, equipment specifications, supplier pre\-qualification documents, and key shop drawings. * Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide timely technical clarification during design and construction. * Assess design modifications and value engineering proposals, providing technical recommendations and impact assessments. * Monitor contractor design submission schedules and ensure timely technical reviews. * Conduct design quality audits and technical assurance reviews to maintain high engineering standards. * Identify critical design and construction documents requiring management approval. * Coordinate engineering documentation using project collaboration platforms such as Aconex or similar document management systems. * Work closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. * Minimum **10 years of experience** in engineering and project management for major building or real estate developments. * At least **6 years of experience** on major projects within the Middle East. * Strong expertise in project engineering, design coordination, and technical management. * Thorough understanding of international engineering codes and standards, including IBC, BS, and NFPA. * Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering reviews and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle. **Technical Requirements** * Strong knowledge of design review processes, engineering documentation, and project delivery methodologies. * Experience reviewing technical submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and value engineering proposals. * Proficiency in project collaboration and document control platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, or equivalent systems. * Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * Fluency in written and spoken English. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious real estate and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
