Senior HAM Developer

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced HAM Developer with 3 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining HAM solutions to manage hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, improve asset visibility, optimize costs, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. Key Responsibilities • Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) solutions. • Implement and maintain ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Professional (HAM Pro) capabilities. • Manage the complete hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, receiving, deployment, maintenance, transfer, and disposal. • Configure hardware asset models, model categories, asset records, stockrooms, and inventory management processes. • Integrate HAM with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Procurement, and other IT service management modules. • Configure and maintain workflows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and other ServiceNow components. • Support hardware asset discovery, reconciliation, inventory tracking, and data quality management. • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for hardware inventory, asset utilization, lifecycle status, and compliance. • Automate hardware asset management processes to improve operational efficiency. • Troubleshoot and resolve HAM-related technical and configuration issues. • Collaborate with IT asset management, procurement, finance, infrastructure, and service desk teams. • Support testing, deployment, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing platform maintenance. • Prepare technical documentation and support hardware asset audits and compliance activities. Preferred Qualifications • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM), where applicable. • Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). • Familiarity with procurement, purchase orders, vendor management, and contract processes. • Experience with hardware inventory audits, stockroom operations, and asset lifecycle reporting. • Knowledge of IT asset management best practices and ITIL frameworks. Key Competencies • ServiceNow HAM Pro implementation and development. • Hardware asset lifecycle management. • CMDB integration and asset data reconciliation. • Workflow automation and process optimization. • Technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. • Reporting, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration. • 3 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with strong experience in Hardware Asset Management. • Practical experience implementing and configuring ServiceNow HAM Pro. • Strong understanding of hardware asset lifecycle management and IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes. • Experience with hardware asset models, model categories, stockrooms, inventory, and asset relationships. • Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and asset-to-CI reconciliation. • Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting. • Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow integrations. • Knowledge of REST APIs and integration techniques. • Experience with data imports, transform maps, troubleshooting, testing, and debugging. • Understanding of ITIL processes and hardware asset compliance requirements. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM), where applicable. • Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). • Familiarity with procurement, purchase orders, vendor management, and contract processes. • Experience with hardware inventory audits, stockroom operations, and asset lifecycle reporting. • Knowledge of IT asset management best practices and ITIL frameworks.
