Senior Civil Projects Manager

This position is responsible for leading the execution of civil works for NCC Kuwait projects, ensuring delivery in line with approved scope, schedule, budget and regulatory requirements, while upholding HSE standards and driving efficient, high-quality project performance. Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee the execution of civil works for substations, overhead transmission lines (OHTL) and underground cable projects in line with approved scope, timelines and budget. • Manage end-to-end delivery of substation civil infrastructure (equipment foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, drainage systems, access roads) and transmission line tower foundations in compliance with geotechnical reports and design specifications. • Provide leadership to project teams, site engineers and subcontractors by setting clear objectives, monitoring performance and optimizing resource utilization. • Oversee project financials, planning and scheduling: budget control, cost forecasting, material optimization and progress tracking to achieve milestones and a smooth project handover. • Review and approve civil and structural designs, and ensure adherence to NCC standards, local authority regulations, client specifications and HSE policies across all phases. • Evaluate subcontractor quotations, review quantity take-offs, BOQs and payment applications, and manage variations and claims related to civil works. • Coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams, review pre-tender site surveys, and report regularly to top management on project status, risks and mitigation plans. Qualifications • BE / BTech / BSc in Civil Engineering or a related field. • 15–20 years of experience, including 7+ years in a senior management role, in civil works mainly for Substation, Tower Line and Underground Cable projects. • Valid Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) membership and PMP certification are a must. • Strong project leadership and execution, budgeting and cost control, planning and scheduling, QA/QC, reporting and presentation skills. • Sound knowledge of industry safety aspects and local regulations; able to lead, coach and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
