Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time **Al Bany International Oman** seeking an experienced and proactive **Senior Civil Engineer** to support the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of major construction and real estate projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating document submissions, and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual milestones and project objectives. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and verify design and technical documents submitted by contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards. * Ensure contractor Basis of Design, engineering drawings, and technical submissions comply with project standards, specifications, and relevant national and international codes. * Review Concept, Schematic, and Detailed Design drawings, engineering deliverables, and technical documentation across civil disciplines. * Review construction\-related technical submittals, including material approvals, equipment submissions, supplier pre\-qualification documents, builders' work drawings, and coordination drawings. * Respond to technical queries and Requests for Information (RFIs) to provide timely engineering clarifications during design and construction phases. * Monitor design changes, evaluate value engineering proposals, and assess technical impacts on project requirements, quality, and delivery. * Ensure contractor design and technical submissions are delivered within approved schedules and reviewed within the required service level timelines. * Conduct design quality audits, technical reviews, and assurance assessments of contractors and design consultants. * Support project management teams in identifying critical design and construction documents requiring review, approval, and close monitoring. * Utilize project collaboration platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint Online (SPO), or equivalent systems to manage technical correspondence, document reviews, and approvals. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. * Minimum **10 years of experience** in civil engineering design, construction, and material management for real estate projects. * At least **6 years of experience** within the Middle East working on major real estate or infrastructure projects. * Proven experience in design review, technical assurance, construction support, and engineering coordination. * Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, materials, and project delivery processes. **Technical Requirements** * Good knowledge of international engineering codes and standards, including IBC, BS, NFPA, and other relevant industry specifications. * Ability to review and interpret civil engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports. * Experience in reviewing design submissions, construction documentation, material approvals, and technical proposals. * Familiarity with project collaboration and document management platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint Online (SPO), or equivalent. * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and technical evaluation skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. * Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious construction and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
