Job description

Vehicle Monitoring & Safety Oversight - • Actively supervise the autonomous vehicle’s operation, ready to intervene if the system encounters unexpected scenarios or malfunctions. • Follow strict safety protocols to ensure passenger, pedestrian, and road user safety at all times. Manual Intervention & Control - • Take manual control of the vehicle when required (e.g., system disengagement, adverse weather, construction zones, or unpredictable road conditions). • Execute safe driving practices in compliance with local traffic laws. Data Collection & Reporting - • Document incidents, disengagements, and unusual behaviors of the autonomous system. • Provide detailed feedback to engineering and operations teams to improve system performance. Passenger Assistance & Customer Service - • Assist passengers with entering/exiting the vehicle and explain basic vehicle operations when needed. • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour to ensure a positive rider experience. Testing & Validation Support - • Participate in controlled test scenarios to validate software updates and new features. • Assist in training and mentoring new safety drivers as needed. Compliance & Procedures - • Adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational guidelines. • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness. Vehicle Cleaning & Upkeep - • Wash and clean the vehicle regularly, including interior and exterior. • Keep the vehicle presentable and report any damage or maintenance issues promptly. Qualifications & Requirements - • Valid UAE driver’s license with a minimum of 5 years of accident-free driving and no black points. • A strong interest in technology and autonomous vehicles (training provided). • Tech-savvy individuals with the ability to handle basic technology interfaces and data logging tools. • Prior experience as a test driver, safety driver, or professional driver is a plus (e.g., rideshare, trucking, or emergency response). • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to remain focused for extended periods. • Flexibility to work both full-time and part-time shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays (if applicable). • Educated individuals seeking part-time or full-time employment; students or those looking for flexible work hours are encouraged to apply. Physical & Environmental Requirements - • Ability to work 8-hour shifts. • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.).
