Job description
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement effective safety training programs tailored to the specific needs of the workforce, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions, preventing future incidents.
• Collaborate with management to create and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring all personnel are prepared for any potential crisis.
• Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring employees are trained and equipped to work safely.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance audits, providing reports to management as needed.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, facilitating regular training sessions to keep the workforce informed.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by conducting safety meetings and encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred for foundational knowledge.
• Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent demonstrates a commitment to professional standards in safety management.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards, ensuring compliance in all safety practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software, enabling efficient documentation and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective safety solutions based on data-driven insights.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences and encourage feedback.
• Ability to lead safety training sessions, engaging employees and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Physical ability to conduct on-site inspections and assessments, ensuring all safety protocols are visually and practically evaluated.
