Quantity Surveyor – Construction

Job Description ERA Projects is looking for an experienced **Quantity Surveyor** with a strong background in **construction and contracting projects**. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take\-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, tendering, valuations, variations, cost control, and commercial documentation. Key Responsibilities * Prepare accurate **quantity take\-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates** for construction projects. * Review architectural, civil, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications. * Conduct site measurements and verify quantities against actual site progress. * Prepare tender and contract documentation. * Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations. * Prepare **comparative statements** and assist with commercial evaluations. * Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and expenditures. * Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims. * Evaluate and prepare **variations, claims, and additional\-cost submissions**. * Assist with subcontractor management and commercial negotiations. * Prepare and maintain project **final accounts**. * Identify cost\-saving and value\-engineering opportunities. * Monitor material quantities and wastage. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, subcontractors, and suppliers. * Maintain accurate records of measurements, BOQs, contracts, variations, and commercial documents. * Support tender submissions and prequalification documentation. * Provide regular cost and commercial reports to management. Requirements * **Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.** * **Minimum 5 years of relevant experience** as a Quantity Surveyor in the **construction industry**. * Strong hands\-on experience with **building and civil construction projects**. * Excellent knowledge of **BOQ preparation, quantity take\-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts**. * Ability to read and interpret **construction drawings and specifications**. * Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and project costs. * Experience in tendering and subcontractor/supplier quotation evaluation. * Knowledge of **FIDIC or other construction contracts** is an advantage. * Proficiency in **MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying/estimating software**. * Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.** * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. * **Must be currently located in Bahrain.** * **Must be available for immediate joining.** * Candidates with **cancelled/transferable visa or valid local status** are preferred.
