Job description

Designation: QA/QC Manager / QA/QC Supervisor (Architectural Glass Processing) Core Technical Skills: • Tempering & DGU Workflow: Strict enforcement of processing sequences, specifically ensuring that glass units undergo tempering prior to entering Double Glazed Unit (DGU) assembly (no annealed glass in DGU production). • Coating Management: Expertise in the handling, processing, and inspection of high-performance MSVD Low-E glasses to prevent coating degradation or surface damage. • Lamination Processing: Proficiency in lamination quality control, specifically managing PVB interlayers and preventing delamination or bubbling defects. • Yield & Wastage Control: Ability to monitor raw sheet yields, track cutting wastage, and optimize machine processing time to support factory cost-efficiency. • Glass Processing Machinery: Hands-on knowledge of cutting lines, edging machines, and tempering furnaces. Quality & Management Skills: • Defect Resolution: Advanced capability in root-cause analysis and the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for shop-floor non-conformities. • Standards Compliance: Deep understanding of international architectural glass standards (ASTM, EN) regarding thermal performance, visual distortion, and structural integrity. • Quality Management Systems (QMS): Strong background in auditing and maintaining ISO 9001 standards within a manufacturing environment. • Team Leadership: Experience managing, training, and mentoring a team of QC technicians and floor inspectors across multiple shifts. Experience & Industry Requirements • Mandatory Glass Industry Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years functioning as a QA/QC professional strictly within an architectural glass processing facility. • Strict Application Rule: Only candidates with direct, proven glass industry experience will have their resumes considered. Applications without a background in glass processing will be automatically rejected. • Manufacturing Floor Experience: Extensive hands-on experience overseeing quality control on active production lines, including cutting, edging, and tempering stations. Educational & Technical Qualifications • Academic Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. • DGU & Tempering Expertise: Certified knowledge of Double Glazed Units (DGU) manufacturing, with a strict understanding of processing sequences (e.g., glass units must undergo tempering before entering DGU assembly). • Coating & Lamination Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in the quality control of PVB interlayers and the specialized handling requirements for high-performance MSVD Low-E coatings. • Quality Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification, with a strong background in maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) in a factory setting.
