Purchase Executive / Purchase Assistant (Switchgear & Battery)

Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically knowledgeable Purchase Assistant/ Executive to support our procurement operations. The candidate will be responsible for supporting procurement operations for switchgear, battery and electrical components, ensuring materials are purchased according to technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements. Job Responsibilities • Assist in sourcing and purchasing switchgear, electrical components, accessories, and related materials based on project and operational requirements. • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), compare supplier quotations, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms. • Review technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and material requirements to ensure accurate procurement. • Use AutoCAD to review and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and technical diagrams. • Prepare and process purchase orders (POs), maintain purchase records, and update procurement information in the ERP system. • Verify battery capacity, voltage, dimensions, model numbers, warranty, and manufacturer specifications. • Coordinate with suppliers, engineering, sales, warehouse, and accounts departments to ensure timely delivery of materials. • Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and pending purchases, and follow up with suppliers. • Maintain an updated supplier database and procurement documentation. • Master or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering (Mandatory). • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations. • Experience in switchgear, electrical equipment, electrical components, or related industries will be an added advantage. • Basic understanding & familiarity of battery technologies, automotive batteries, UPS batteries, Industrial batteries, Lithium-ion batteries, Lead-acid batteries, Solar batteries and related accessories , electrical specifications, voltage, capacity, and battery applications. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP software is required. • Good communication, coordination, negotiation, and organizational skills. Visa Status: Candidates currently on a visit visa or cancelled visa are preferred. Availability: Immediate joiners or candidates serving a short notice period are preferred.
