Junior Sous Chef Chinese | Thai Cuisine

The Role As Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Executive Sous Chef and Senior Sous Chef in managing the day-to-day kitchen operation at White Orchid, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. You will help lead the team, maintain culinary standards, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. What You'll Be Doing • Support the daily operation of the kitchen and ensure efficient service delivery. • Prepare and present authentic Chinese and Thai dishes to the highest standards. • Ensure consistency in food quality, flavour, presentation, and portion control. • Assist in supervising, training, and motivating the culinary team. • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation. • Monitor stock levels, food preparation, and kitchen productivity. • Support menu execution and ensure quality across all service periods. • Assist with training and developing junior culinary team members. • Work closely with colleagues to create memorable guest experiences. • Chinese or Thai nationality. • Culinary Degree or recognised 3-year culinary certification. • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate and Culinary Diploma. • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel or resort environment. • Strong knowledge of authentic Chinese and/or Thai cuisine. • Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards. • Intermediate computer skills. • Fluent English communication skills. • A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and passion for culinary excellence.
