Industrial Equipment Director

About the Role Equipamiento San Lorenzo is seeking a strategic and operational Industrial Equipment Director to lead our industrial machinery, heavy equipment operations, and commercial fleet solutions in Kuwait. In this senior executive role, you will oversee large\-scale equipment procurement, supply chain logistics, preventive maintenance frameworks, commercial sales, and rental operations. You will manage multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams to drive operational efficiency, ensure strict safety compliance, and maximize profitability across industrial and commercial accounts. Key Responsibilities * Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the operational and commercial strategy for heavy machinery, industrial plant equipment, and commercial tools distribution across Kuwait. * Asset \& Fleet Management: Oversee life\-cycle management, preventive maintenance schedules, asset utilization, and refurbishment programs for all industrial machinery and rental fleets. * Procurement \& Supply Chain: Build and maintain direct relationships with international OEMs and industrial machinery manufacturers to negotiate equipment acquisitions, spare parts supply, and service agreements. * Commercial \& Business Development: Drive B2B equipment sales, long\-term leasing contracts, and maintenance service agreements across key sectors including construction, manufacturing, and oil \& gas. * HSE \& Compliance: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, machinery safety protocols, and compliance with Kuwaiti industrial regulatory requirements. * Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and grow a team of technical workshop managers, field engineers, equipment operators, and B2B sales specialists. Qualifications \& Requirements * Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Asset Management, or Business Administration. * Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in industrial equipment management, heavy machinery distribution, or fleet operations, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or director\-level role. * Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of heavy industrial machinery (heavy machinery, industrial power tools, material handling, processing equipment), workshop management, and equipment leasing models in the GCC. * Skills: Strong commercial negotiation, fleet analytics, budget management, contract administration, and executive leadership abilities. * Language: Professional fluency in English; working knowledge or fluency in Spanish or Arabic is a strong advantage.
