Daikan Izakaya, Abu Dhabi, a premier destination for Japanese cuisine is looking for a warm and welcoming Hostess to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inviting atmosphere as well as ensuring smooth seating operations within our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
• Guest Reception: Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanour as they arrive at the restaurant. Ensure a positive first impression.
• Seating Management: Manage reservations and walk-in guests, efficiently coordinating seating to optimise the dining room flow.
• Menu Knowledge: Provide guests with information about daily specials, chef recommendations, and our menu offerings.
• Customer Service: Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring their needs are met and assisting with any special requests.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the dining experience.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the host station and dining areas tidy and organised, creating a welcoming environment.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a hostess or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and a friendly demeanour.
• Proficient in managing reservations and wait lists.
