Head of Investment Strategy & Research

A prestigious government\-owned investment organisation in Oman is seeking an experienced investment professional to join its leadership team. This is a strategic role responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending investment opportunities across Oman. The successful candidate will provide expert advice to senior leadership on capital deployment, investment strategy, portfolio performance, and long\-term value creation. **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ * Identify and assess investment opportunities across key sectors in Oman. * Conduct financial modelling, valuation, feasibility studies, and investment appraisals. * Perform commercial, financial, and strategic due diligence. * Develop investment strategies and business cases for executive decision\-making. * Monitor portfolio performance and recommend value creation initiatives. * Analyse market trends, economic developments, and sector opportunities. * Prepare investment reports and presentations for senior management. * Build relationships with government entities, investors, and strategic partners. * Support acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and other strategic investment initiatives. * Ensure investment decisions align with the organisation's long\-term objectives and Oman Vision 2040\. **Requirements** ---------------- * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline. * Master's degree and/or CFA, CAIA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous. * Minimum 10 years' experience in investment management, investment advisory, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, sovereign wealth funds, or asset management. * Strong financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis skills. * Experience preparing investment recommendations for executive management or investment committees. * Excellent understanding of the Omani investment landscape and key growth sectors. * Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills. **Preferred Background** ------------------------ Candidates with experience in any of the following will be highly regarded: * Sovereign Wealth Funds * Government Investment Authorities * Investment Banking * Private Equity * Asset Management * Investment Advisory * Corporate Strategy \& Investments * Infrastructure or Development Funds **Key Skills** -------------- * Investment Strategy * Financial Modelling * Business Valuation (DCF, Comparable Companies \& Transaction Multiples) * Investment Appraisal * Commercial \& Financial Due Diligence * Portfolio Management * Investment Advisory * Capital Allocation * Value Creation * Risk Assessment * Strategic Planning * Executive Reporting
