Job description

As a Security Coordinator with Hub Operations you will provide operational, investigative, and administrative support across all security functions to ensure full compliance with Group Security policies, the Airline Security Program (ASP), and the Security Management System (SEMS). The role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting irregularities; supporting security operations; facilitating risk mitigation; and ensuring the protection of passengers, aircraft, cargo, facilities, and company assets through effective coordination, documentation, and operational oversight. In this role, you will: • Provide operational support across all security functions including statistics, logistics, manpower roster patterns, and administrative processes. Assist in the coordination and flow of security activities across airport, cargo, facilities, planning, and operational units to ensure compliance with regulatory and company security requirements. • Perform detailed travel document checks, behavioral analysis, and profiling to prevent illegal immigration or unlawful interference. Access INAD information, determine required actions, coordinate deportation and accommodation arrangements, and liaise with immigration, embassies, police, and other authorities across the network. • Conduct investigations into cargo discrepancies; perform random and routine audit checks of cargo handling processes at both landside and airside; and compile reports to support the safety and protection of aircraft, passengers, cargo, and assets. Oversee lost-and-found operations and recommend improvements to enhance cargo security integrity. • Coordinate security assessments of facilities and business units; contribute to the development and maintenance of security plans; and support installation and monitoring of security systems such as CCTV and access control. Provide guidance and follow-up with outsourced supervision teams on SOP updates, operational issues, staff performance, and training needs. • Support the daily security requirements of facilities and accommodation, including VIP access, parking, visitor management, and incident review. Evaluate reported incidents (e.g., lost items, disputes) and determine necessary action. Maintain and manage fraud-related data, alerts, and reporting for network stations to mitigate risk. • Assist in processing security approvals for VVIPs, CIPs, protected individuals, deportees, firearms transport, and INAD movements. Ensure adherence to international and national security regulatory bodies (ICAO, IATA, UN, GCAA, TSA). Disseminate updates and security program guidelines to internal units and outstations in accordance with ASP requirements. • Support quality assurance activities by reviewing non conformities, audit findings, and performance issues, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Conduct audits and follow-up actions, manage evidence gathering for fraud cases, access reservation systems for investigations, and independently handle less complex cases. Maintain documentation, manuals, records, procurement workflows, and data reporting to support departmental administration. • Manage security personnel including outsourced teams to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Support or lead shift operations when required, perform random checks of deployed staff, prepare rosters for optimal manpower utilization, and provide operational support during delays, events, and ad hoc requirements. • 12 years schooling or equivalent. • 3 + years Security (General) and Airport operations. • Produce clear, comprehensive written reports, supported by solid computer literacy and proficiency in standard business applications. You ll have an edge, if you: • Have good understanding of aviation operations, security processes, supervision principles, and root cause analysis. • Have knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and investigative processes, with experience in conducting or supporting investigations. • Have familiarity with security risk assessment methods, combined with strong analytical ability to evaluate irregularities, identify trends, and recommend appropriate corrective actions. • Can demonstrated ability to analyse situations, solve problems logically, and make sound decisions in operational or investigative environments.
