General Accountant (Automotive Industry)

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our automotive operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards, and supporting the financial performance of the business. Key Responsibilities • Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger. • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial reports. • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. • Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring. • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations. • Monitor inventory and vehicle-related accounting transactions. • Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial matters. • Support external auditors during audits and financial reviews. • Ensure accuracy of financial data and proper documentation of transactions. • Prepare management reports and assist in budget preparation. Requirements • Minimum 3-4 years of UAE experience as a General Accountant . • Previous experience in the Automotive Industry is highly preferred. • Master's Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification such as CA or ACCA . • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and VAT regulations. • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications • Experience handling automotive dealership or vehicle trading accounts. • Knowledge of inventory accounting, spare parts accounting, and vehicle costing. • Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
