Forming engineer

• Supervise and actively participate in all product changeovers to ensure smooth operations, maximum product quality, and efficient production ramp-up. • Monitor and optimize production performance by tracking key operating parameters, including: • Forehearth temperature regulation and feeder mechanisms (gob shape). • IS machine timer settings and equipment movements. • Lehr infeed settings and hot-end surface treatment. • Monitor quality and production losses and take immediate corrective actions to improve performance. • Provide hands-on technical support for troubleshooting and problem-solving. • Identify and interpret production defects and implement appropriate solutions to prevent recurrence. • Coordinate with the IS Maintenance and Hot End teams during job changes. • Prepare and provide production output reports whenever required. • Supervise IS Operators and Hot End Engineers, particularly regarding hot-end quality checks. • Ensure team members understand the specifications of each product manufactured during their shift. • Conduct random quality checks to ensure compliance with product specifications. • Maintain high finished-product quality through effective communication with Cold End Sorters whenever machine-related issues cause defects. • Lead corrective actions whenever defects are identified at the hot end or cold end. • Ensure proper monitoring, documentation, and traceability of corrective actions using designated reporting tools, sheets, and New Qualiglass software. • Ensure strict compliance with established quality procedures.
