FOREMAN - PLATER / FABRICATOR

• Lead and supervise workers to perform all types of fabrication jobs as assigned. • Distribute the Platers for projects according to their experience and monitor their performances through regular inspections. • Perform internal inspections to ensure that the fit-ups are of set standards prior to offering for QC / Client inspections. • Coordinate with project team for identifying the job scope and timely highlighting of discrepancies from owner specifications./tenders. • Prepare daily time sheets for the team and make sure overtime hours are controlled well. • Ensure optimum use of resources and adequate control on wastage of materials/consumables. • Prepare job turn over for next shift and prepare daily progress reports for job done under his supervision. • Liaise with other discipline foremen / supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project. • Assist the senior foreman and supervisors in planning activities. • Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance. • Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns. • Work as a team leader responsible for development / motivation of sub-ordinates, on the job training and . • performance appraisal of the team members. • Work as a team leader responsible for development / motivation of sub-ordinates, on the job training and . • performance appraisal of the team members. • Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work. • Responsible to comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls and to behave in a manner, which ensures that their actions or omissions, do not adversely affect the environment, health, safety and wellbeing of themselves, colleagues, contractors or members of the public. • Meeting all responsibilities as outlined in the DDW OHSMS. • Participating in any training and safety initiatives implemented by the Company. • Complying with all Safety directives, and work instructions. • Immediately reporting any incident or potential hazard to their Supervisor or Safety Dept. • STOP the task if you feel yourself or others may be harmed
