Fish Farm Supervisor

Qualifications: • Basic English communication skills. • Willing to work shifts when required. Job Description: • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Fish Farm Workers / RAS Operators. • Operate and monitor RAS equipment, including pumps, filters, blowers, oxygen systems, UV systems and associated equipment. • Monitor fish tanks and fish behaviour and immediately report abnormal conditions, mortalities or health concerns. • Check and record key water-quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH and other required parameters. • Supervise fish feeding according to the approved feeding program and monitor feed consumption. • Ensure tanks, filters, working areas and RAS equipment are properly cleaned and maintained. • Assist in stocking, grading, fish transfer, sampling and harvesting activities. • Carry out and supervise basic routine maintenance and identify equipment requiring technical attention. • Ensure workers follow biosecurity, hygiene, safety and operational procedures. • Maintain daily operating records, including water-quality readings, feeding, mortalities, equipment status and other relevant farm information. • Coordinate shift activities and ensure proper handover between operators. • Report operational problems, equipment failures or abnormal water/fish conditions to the Fish Farm Manager. • Support commissioning, system start-up and other farm activities as required. • Practical experience in aquaculture, fish farming or hatchery operations. • Previous experience with RAS systems is strongly preferred. • Experience in tilapia farming is preferred. • Able to supervise a small operational team while remaining actively involved in hands-on work. • Basic understanding of water-quality monitoring, fish feeding, fish health observation and routine equipment operation. • Able to maintain simple operational records and follow written procedures.
