Electrical Maintenance Technician

1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and production machinery. 2. Troubleshoot electrical faults in plastic manufacturing machines and equipment. 3. Maintain and repair injection moulding machines, extrusion machines, blow moulding machines, and other plastic processing equipment. 4. Inspect and maintain electrical control panels, motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers. 5. Diagnose and rectify electrical issues in PLC-based control systems. 6. Monitor machine performance and minimize production downtime. 7. Carry out routine electrical inspections and identify potential equipment failures. 8. Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. 9. Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment. 10. Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance schedules. 11. Coordinate with production teams to ensure machinery availability. 12. Follow company HSE procedures and electrical safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Qualifications & Experience • ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. • 4–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance. • Previous experience in a plastic manufacturing or industrial production environment is preferred. • Hands-on experience with injection moulding, extrusion, and other plastic processing machinery. • Knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, motors, sensors, and electrical control panels. • Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical circuits. • Good knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance. • Understanding of industrial electrical safety standards. 4.
